This series of photographs chart the history of slavery between West Africa, the Caribbean and America. The profits were bartered for more slaves sold to sugar planters, and eventually created a contemporary pattern of slavery that preys on newly formed addicts who, feeding on production and consumption of this substance, satiates a global economy dependent on this harmful product.
